About the Role
Isilumko Staffing is seeking a skilled Debt Collector to join our client’s team in Sandton on a 3-month contract. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding debts from credit card holders, working closely with our client’s banking clients to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on alternate public holidays and Saturdays as required
- Collect outstanding debts from credit card holders using strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Resolve disputes and negotiate payment plans with customers
- Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and update customer information as needed
Requirements
- 4 years’ late-stage collections experience on credit cards, specifically collecting for top banks such as FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, and Nedbank
- Great telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Reliable transport and ability to stay within close range of Sandton
- Ability to work rotational shifts, with the latest shift being 7 pm
Qualifications
- ITC (Credit Clear) status – cannot be listed for debt review, judgements, debt written off, accounts handed over
- CLEAR criminal record and no fraud listings
- Completed any necessary training or certifications required by the client’s banking clients
