Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an Electrical/Energy/Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. This position involves identifying, implementing, and maintaining energy efficiency savings and on-site generation projects. The engineer ensures projects are executed cost-effectively, safely, and in compliance with regulations and specifications, aligned with the Service Level Agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, implement, and maintain energy efficiency savings and on-site generation for projects.
- Ensure projects are executed cost-effectively, safely, and in accordance with applicable regulations and specifications.
- Comply with all aspects of the Service Level Agreement.
- Conduct energy audits.
- Assist with business development in pursuit of Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts.
Requirements:
- Skills in energy auditing and expertise in energy efficiency projects, including auditing, planning, implementation, and management.
- Experience with onsite solar distribution and knowledge of small-scale embedded generation.
- Proficiency in Solar PV design, financials (ROI, IRR, cashflow, lifecycle costs, maintenance), and project management.
- 10 15 years of experience in energy efficiency, turnkey Solar PV projects, and energy financial calculations.
- Minimum of a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- ECSA Professional Engineer/candidate registration.
- Desired completion of CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CEA (Certified Energy Auditor) course.
- PV Green Card certification.
