Report on:

Sales figures (orders and invoiced) verbal

Status on existing & new customers

New opportunities

Any deviations from norm, i.e. any problems experienced by self or third

party, e.g. operator verbal

Customer complaints verbal and written (fill in complaints log)

Progress on projects & tasks

Qualification:

National Senior Certificate

Basic training in Electronic and Electricilty

2 years experience in electrical, 1-year sales (internal or external)

Alternative: Sales Personality and Attitude

Skills:

Technically minded, sense of urgency, peoples person, dynamic, customer service orientated, persuasiveness/sales ability, eye for detail & accuracy, perform under pressure, ability to create good customer relationships, be able to work on his own, team player

We also offer a comprehensive range of medium voltage cable accessories, including CiP, Elcon Megarad, Ampletek, and Melec brands, which meet industry standards for applications up to 36 kV. Additionally, our AHMR right-angled and AHMS straight anti-tracking heat shrinkable bushing boots are designed to insulate and seal switchgear and transformer bushings, ensuring protection where air clearances are limited.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and client visits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and trends.
• Present and promote the company’s products, including Heatshrink and other extruded products, to prospective clients.
• Provide technical product knowledge and guidance to clients.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
• Provide clients with excellent customer service and support.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in external sales, preferably in manufacturing, industrial products, or a related industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
• Technical understanding of electrical cable accessories and industrial products is an advantage.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is an advantage.
