Job Description

About the Role

As a Financial Manager with specialized operational focus in the pharmaceutical industry, you will ensure that the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial processes, cash flow management, analyzing operational data, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation of monthly management reports including variance analysis to assess the company’s financial health and to support strategic decision-making.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Conduct variance analysis and prepare regular reports for senior management to track key financial metrics and performance against targets and budgets.
Prepare financial forecasts and annual budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Sales and Operations, to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas of inefficiency and develop strategies to streamline and automate processes and reduce costs.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and maximize resource utilization.

Requirements

CA (SA) or CIMA qualification
Post articles experience – min 5-10 years outside of auditing
Proven experience as a Financial Manager with experience in financial management, analysis, and reporting.
Strong understanding of financial principles, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
