Job Description

Job Purpose The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for managing the full end-to-end recruitment and selection process, ensuring the attraction, assessment, and appointment of suitably qualified candidates in line with organizational policies, labour legislation, and best human resources practices. Key Responsibilities Recruitment Advertising Draft, review, and place vacancy advertisements in newspapers, online recruitment platforms, and social media channels. Ensure all advertisements comply with organizational requirements and employment equity principles. Response Handling & Administration Receive, record, and manage responses to advertised vacancies. Maintain accurate recruitment records, reports, and candidate databases. Pre-Screening & Shortlisting Conduct pre-screening of applications against minimum job requirements. Coordinate and facilitate the shortlisting process with line managers and relevant stakeholders. Assessment & Verification Conduct background checks, reference checks, and verification of qualifications for shortlisted candidates. Facilitate and administer competency-based assessments where required. Interview Coordination Coordinate interview schedules, interview panels, venues, and logistics. Prepare interview documentation and ensure compliance with fair, objective, and transparent recruitment practices. Offer of Employment & Close-Out Coordinate the preparation and issuance of offers of employment. Facilitate employment contracting and ensure all required documentation is completed. Compile recruitment close-out reports, including outcomes, compliance, and appointment recommendations. Minimum Requirements Qualifications National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 6 qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience Minimum of five (5) years or more proven experience in recruitment and selection. Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes. Executive recruitment experience will be a distinct advantage.
