About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Office Automation/Telecoms Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch printer and telephony support to our customers. If you have a passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving, and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and service HP, Sharp, and Konica Minolta printers/copiers
- Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, and part replacements on printers/copiers
- Install and configure printers, scanners, drivers, and print management solutions
- Provide professional on-site technical support and troubleshooting for printer and telephony issues
- Configure printer and network settings, including IP addresses, gateways, DNS, and subnet masks
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN connectivity, switches, routers)
- Accurately complete service reports and job cards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a printer/copier technician
- Hands-on experience with HP, Sharp, and Konica Minolta printers/copiers
- Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of networking and printer connectivity
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Qualifications
- CompTIA A certification (or equivalent)
- CompTIA Network certification (or equivalent)
