Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional Java development experience (excluding internships).
• Proven experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A strong background in pure mathematics, with a matric (high school) pass mark of 70% or higher. (Candidates achieving this percentage are exempt from a competency math assessment)
• Interest in creating high quality JAVA code.
• Reliable home internet connection and suitable home office setup.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Tertiary education in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with Web or Mobile application development.

• Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
• Experience with test-driven development
