Job Description
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and a passion for the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates for construction projects
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify any potential cost variations
- Prepare and submit progress payment applications to clients
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts and variations for projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Utilise quantity surveying software to generate accurate cost reports and estimates
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost estimating
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
