Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and a passion for the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates for construction projects
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify any potential cost variations
• Prepare and submit progress payment applications to clients
• Assist in the preparation of final accounts and variations for projects
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
• Utilise quantity surveying software to generate accurate cost reports and estimates

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost estimating
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
