Our client has an opportunity available for a Manager in the Credit Risk department based in Sandton.
Requirements:
- CA or BCom postgraduate qualification.
- MBA would be advantageous.
- 10 to 15 years Credit Risk experience in a financial institution.
- 3+ years managing teams directly or indirectly.
- Experience in risk mitigation standards and processes.
- Proven track record in the structuring of complex transactions or projects.
- Portfolio management experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Assess problematic areas and find resolutions to provide the best practice solutions for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Review and ensure each Credit and Investment submission is in alignment with the templates of the corporation Participation in Basic Assessment processes.
- Present Credit Risk Opinions, obtain CEM participation and indicate final credit structure requirements.
- Continuously assess relevance and propose enhancements to the credit risk methodologies, process and systems for assessing and managing credit risks.
- Ensure Credit Origination unit adopts the best governance standards related to the avoidance of any transactional conflicts.
- Perform credit checks and deed searches on prospective and existing clients
- Attend and present at Credit committees and Executive Policy meetings when required.
