Johannesburg: Marketing Assistant

A company is seeking a Marketing manager who is proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support the marketing team with day-to-day operational, creative, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has at least two years’ experience in a fast-paced marketing environment, is comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and is eager to learn about digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management. Fluent in Afrikaans (speaking, typing and writing) Key Responsibilities Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) Support in managing and updating website content, social media posts, and marketing assets Coordinate content creation (copy, images, videos) and maintain brand consistency across all materials Help compile campaign performance reports and track key marketing metrics Manage internal requests for marketing materials, templates, or social media content Assist with email campaigns, newsletters, and basic CRM data management Liaise with external vendors and agencies when needed (creative, digital, print) Conduct competitor research and market analysis as requested Help maintain the marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of tasks Provide general administrative support to the marketing team Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing, advertising, or communications role Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication (English; Afrikaans a plus) Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Canva, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools Basic understanding of Google Ads, SEO, and digital marketing principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and reporting Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
