About the Role

To train as a mechanical engineering apprentice technician, Cre8work! is seeking a motivated individual to join our team and undertake a structured training program in academic study and workshop work. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the research requirements of our well-established mechanical engineering facility.

Key Responsibilities

Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff.
To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the department.
Maintaining a logbook over the duration of the apprenticeship period, recording projects that have been undertaken and the skills learned.
Maintaining and ensuring general good housekeeping of the workplace and laboratory areas.

Requirements

Previous experience in the engineering/steel industry.
Matric
Clear criminal record
Contactable references.
