Job Summary

Do you have a completed technical qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic? Do you have an excellent command of the English language? Do you have a valid passport (expiry date to accommodate for 6 months past your departure date)? If you answer “YES” to the above questions, then we would like to possibly meet with you . Our client will process and cover the cost to acquire a General Work Permit for candidates who are successful in the interview process. You will need to have a clear criminal record and good references. Once the work permit is granted, you will purchase a 1 way flight to Dublin, the cost of which will be re-imbursed to you once you have arrived and opened a bank account in Ireland. The client will put you up in accommodation for 30 days on arrival, during this time you will secure your own accommodation. Please ensure you meet ALL the requirements below prior to applying. Education and qualifications required: Trade Tested Mechanical Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. Additional proof of related qualifications and course work completed would be advantageous for example, Specialist “Access” training courses, Specialist Vehicle Diagnostic Courses etc. Main accountabilities and responsibilities The checking, repairing and servicing of all plant and equipment and vehicles, as directed by the Service Supervisor / Advisor or Branch Manager Old parts including spent oils and batteries should always be returned to the Depot for safe disposal The checking of oil/water/tyres/fuel/filters/glass/mirrors if appropriate; The checking of all operational and safety aspects of each machine/vehicle. The greasing of plant & equipment The checking for operators manual and certificates if appropriate; The changing of oils/filters as required when servicing plant/vehicles The replacement or repair of any damaged parts; Ensuring the machine/vehicle has a good appearance. The maintenance of accurate records of work completed and spare parts used on a daily basis. Where required you may be assigned Company transport to repair and service plant and equipment on customers sites. You will ensure that you have a valid driving licence. You must ensure compliance with all aspects of the Companys Health & Safety Statement. You must ensure that at all times you use/wear the necessary protective clothing (which is provided by the Company) i.e. all-weather clothing, steel-toe cap boots, ear muffs, goggles, hard hats etc., as necessary when working on equipment, and you must generally observe safe working practices at all times, whether at a the company or a customer site. As a representative of the business, you will be expected to behave professionally and to project the Company in a positive light. You may from time to time be required to carry out repair and service work at our other Depots. Salary is paid in Euros 45 000 – 50 000 per annum (basic). The additional benefits will be made available to shortlisted candidates.
