Job Summary
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Billing Agent to join our client`s team in Johannesburg. As a Medical Billing Agent, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical claims, resolving billing issues, and ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Capture patient data accurately and efficiently
- Handle billing processes for various Specialist Doctors, Allied Health Professionals, and General Practitioners (GPs)
- Possess expert knowledge of charge codes and ICD-10 codes for Specialists, Allied Health Professionals, and GPs
- Optimise billing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy
- Understand and adhere to various medical aid agreements and billing practices
- Pay meticulous attention to detail and follow each practices specific requirements
- Address and resolve billing queries promptly
- Conduct double-checking and auditing of billing entries
- Maintain accurate records of billing queries and resolutions
- Stay updated on new billing rules and industry standards through continuous learning
- Follow the South African Medical Association (SAMA) billing guide
- Manage receipting and distribution of billing in the supervisors absence
- Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum Matric
- Basic and Intermediate ICD-10 coding
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing

Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Patient data capturin
- Billing for a variety of Specialist Doctors, Allieds, GPs
- Have expert knowledge of charge codes and ICD10 codes for all Specialist doctors, Allieds and GPs
- Billing optimisation
- Understanding and adhering to the various medical aid agreements in terms of billing
- Attention to detail and abide by each practices specific requirements
- Handle billing queries
- Double–check/audit billing
- Record keeping of queries
- Keep up to date with new billing rules in the industry by any means necessary.
- Follow the SAMA billing guide
- Receipting and distribution of billing (when the supervisor is on leave)
- Excellent communication
