About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team as a National HR & IR Manager, based in Johannesburg. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our human resources function, including recruitment, payroll, talent management, and employee relations. You will also manage industrial relations, ensure compliance with labour legislation, and drive performance management and succession planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all HR functions: recruitment, payroll, talent management, and employee relations
- Manage Industrial Relations, including discipline, grievances, and union engagement
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, SDA, EEA, MIBCO)
- Drive performance management, succession planning, and learning & development
- Advise management on HR strategy, policies, and best practices
- Oversee remuneration, compensation reviews, and HR reporting
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources
- Labour Law qualification (essential)
- 10 years or more HR Management experience
- Strong knowledge of HR systems, VIP Premier, and payroll practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Labour Law qualification (LLB)
