About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk – Intercompany to join our finance team in Bryanston, Johannesburg. This role is responsible for managing intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and supporting regional operations across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile intercompany balances, investigating and resolving variances timeously
- Process outstanding and missing intercompany invoices in line with agreed procedures
- Provide ongoing support to regional operations teams regarding intercompany-related queries
- Execute daily intercompany financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Compile and submit weekly reports on intercompany account statuses and identified discrepancies to regional finance leadership
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders across different regions
- Prepare intercompany settlement schedules for review and action by the Accounts Payable Manager and Regional Head of Finance
- Partner closely with operational teams to ensure accountability and smooth intercompany processes
- Manage working hours flexibly to support continuity across multiple global time zones
Requirements
- Completed Matric and Certificate or Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in intercompany reconciliations
- At least 5 years’ experience in invoice processing and financial data capturing
- Exposure to multi-country and multi-currency environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and MS Teams
- Intermediate Excel skills with a solid understanding of financial data handling
- Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles
