About the Role
Our client, a well-established player in the mining industry, is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to partner with the CEO and Board in steering the financial strategy of the organization. The CFO will oversee the full finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, regulatory compliance, and optimal capital allocation across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with the CEO and executive team to drive business growth.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, governance frameworks, and financial controls.
- Lead capital planning and financial evaluation of major mining projects and investments.
- Manage financial risk, optimize cost structures, and support operational efficiencies.
- Lead and develop the finance team while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with the Board, investors, and external partners.
Requirements
- Education: Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) (non-negotiable)
- Experience: Extensive senior financial leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong financial reporting and governance expertise, Advanced financial modelling and strategic analysis capabilities, Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
