I’m looking for Cyber Security Engineers for contract and long-term assignment roles across Gauteng. These positions offer exposure to modern security tools, and collaborative team cultures. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage security tools, policies, and procedures across IT systems and networks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modelling.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents using SIEM systems.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
• Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and secure network configurations.
• Support DevSecOps initiatives and cloud deployments.
• Perform incident response and forensics when necessary.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to enforce secure practices.
• Provide security awareness training.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in information security.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, SIEM tools, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
• Understanding of network protocols, encryption, and IAM.

Nice to Have:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty, or Microsoft Security Engineer Associate.
