Johannesburg North: Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager – Mining Industry posted by Network Finance

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping business performance and enabling data-driven decision-making at both operational and executive levels. In support of board objectives, preference will be given to suitably qualified female applicants.
 
The FP&A Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end FP&A agenda across multiple sites, ensuring accurate forecasting, insightful performance reporting, and robust financial modelling. This position requires close collaboration with operational teams and senior executives, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead FP&A activities for multiple mining operations, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Build and enhance financial models that guide both short-term actions and long-term strategy.
• Deliver budgets, forecasts, and management reports that clearly communicate performance drivers.
• Engage with site-level stakeholders to strengthen financial alignment and accountability.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and improved reporting processes.
• Harness tools including HFM, TM1, SAP, and Power BI to provide meaningful insights.
• Advise senior leadership on financial risks, opportunities, and strategic options.

 
Job Experience and Skills Required:

• CA, CIMA, MBA, or postgraduate qualification in Economics/ Finance.
• Minimum of 10 years’ finance experience, including time spent across more than one mining operation.
• Built financial models from scratch
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships in complex, site-based environments.
• Advanced technical capability in HFM, TM1, SAP, and Power BI.
• Highly developed analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity.
• A strategic mindset paired with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable navigating dynamic mining environments.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at operational and executive levels.
