This opportunity is ideal for a CA(SA) who enjoys operating at a strategic level while remaining hands-on with financial reporting and technical accounting. The role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to influence financial decision-making within a reputable financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the group consolidation process and oversee accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Oversee month-end and year-end reporting cycles, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen and maintain financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes across the group.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies within the finance function.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- BCom in Finance or a related field
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Financial Manager or group finance role
- Experience within the Financial Services industry
- Exposure to group reporting, financial management, and consolidations
- Skills:
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling ability
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights
