Job Description

Company and Job Description:

The engineer will collaborate closely with internal teams to gather technical information, solve design challenges, and deliver practical solutions. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to effectively integrate input from various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the structural and mechanical design of new refrigeration unit ranges.
Design sheetmetal and other mechanical components suitable for automotive vibration and shockloading environments.
Develop roadcompressor brackets for pickups, vans, and small trucks.
Implement updates and improvements to existing refrigeration products, enhancing structural integrity and vibration performance.
Provide technical support to sales, installations, and quality teams, including reviewing drawings, advising on bracket fitment, and verifying that received goods match design specifications.

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Strong proficiency in mechanics, structural analysis, and material behaviour.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience using 3D parametric CAD software (experience in productdesign or production environments preferred; SolidWorks beneficial).
Solid understanding of sheetmetal design with emphasis on structural performance.
Advantageous: experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and/or vibration testing in automotive environments.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical and logical problemsolving abilities grounded in firstprinciples thinking.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
