Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns including provisional tax, VAT, dividends tax, import duties, and related documentation.
- Handle tax queries and audits, providing information to revenue authorities and auditors when required.
- Perform reconciliations between revenue authorities and group entities across multiple countries.
- Maintain tax records, compliance schedules, and correspondence, ensuring payments are made on time.
- Monitor tax legislation changes and apply them to calculations and processes.
- Support ad hoc tax projects and process improvements within the finance team.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Recognized finance-related degree at NQF Level 7 or higher.
- Minimum 2+ years’ practical tax experience.
- Previous exposure in a tax or finance role within a medium to large organisation is advantageous.
- Experience working with multiple tax types such as VAT, corporate tax, and related compliance.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with external authorities when required.
- Good computer literacy with confident use of Excel and finance systems.
