Job Summary
- Lead, mentor, and grow a skilled BI development team.
- Define and execute the BI strategy in alignment with enterprise data goals.
- Collaborate with the CIO and Enterprise Architect to ensure fit-for-purpose architecture and tooling.
- Drive innovation, technical best practices, and a high-performance team culture.
- Build and manage modern reporting, data integration, and dashboarding platforms using the full Microsoft BI stack.
- Work across departments to understand data needs, drive accuracy, and ensure robust data governance.
- Develop scalable and secure data solutions that support business continuity, insights, and advanced analytics.
Your Technical Toolbox Should Include:
- SQL, Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Azure Synapse, ADF, AAS, and Databricks
- Integration with complex and diverse source systems (on-prem, vendor, cloud)
- Strong ETL development and data warehousing experience
- Data lake and big data architecture exposure (advantageous)
- DevOps, version control, and automated testing tools
- Experience with extremely large data volumes
What We’re Looking For:
- 7–8 years of experience in BI or Data Analytics roles
- 3+ years in a management or supervisory position
- Relevant degree in IT or Computer Science; Microsoft BI certifications preferred
- Strong problem-solving and data modelling skills
- Proven ability to design and implement end-to-end BI solutions
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Insurance or financial services experience is a strong plus
