Job Summary
- Manage the entire vehicle stock lifecycle from acquisition to delivery, including new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Maintain accurate vehicle records in the dealership management system (DMS) and ensure compliance with stock control procedures.
- Coordinate vehicle allocations across multiple franchises and departments to optimize sales and availability.
- Perform regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor vehicle movements, including arrivals, transfers, and deliveries, ensuring timely updates and documentation.
- Collaborate with sales, service, and finance teams to meet operational and sales targets.
- Ensure all vehicles are correctly documented for licensing, registration, and compliance purposes.
- Support marketing and showroom teams with stock information for online and in-dealership displays.
- Generate and distribute regular reports on stock levels, turnover, aging, and sales performance.
- Implement and maintain processes to minimize idle stock and optimize inventory turnover.
- Manage relationships with transport and logistics providers to ensure smooth vehicle movement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle stock control, preferably in a multi-franchise or high-volume dealership environment.
- Strong knowledge of DMS systems, stock reporting, and vehicle documentation processes.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and numerical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
