Johannesburg: Overhead Crane Operator

Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator Location: JHB – Eastern Suburbs- Jet Park Type: Contractor Report to: Operation Duties and Responsibilities: Operate overhead cranes , hoist and other lifting equipment to handle glass products in manufacturing , cutting , storage or loading areas Safely lift , transport and position glass sheet , packs and crates according to work orders and production schedules Inspect lifting equipment before use to ensure they are in good condition and meet safety standards Load and unload delivery vehicle , carefully Ensuring glass integrity and stability during movement Monitor crane performance and report any defects , malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to maintenance or supervision Qualifications: Grade 12/Matric, 2-3 years experience within the glass industry Valid overhead crane certificate 3.2 Ton Knowledge of lifting techniques Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of crane operation maintenance
