Job Summary

PURPOSE: Ensure that the product meets customer requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its Manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing, appraising and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Report and action quality issues, data and ensuring the Business Management System is adhered to. MAJOR TASKS: Compile and analyse data and monthly reports. Forward monthly reports as required by GHQ. (Budomari, defect data & graphs, final inspection results, customer complaints etc) Audits Product, process, system and supplier. Conduct periodic quality testing and evaluation with GHQ. Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA). Manage internal and external calibration processes. Administration of Correct Action Requests and Deviations. Administrate OEM & OES on line systems. Manage Core Tools. Assist and support production technicians and supervisors with equipment breakdowns and settings. Continuous training and development of Plant staff. Administrate Production Bill of Materials (BOM). Administrate and maintain Environmental and Health & Safety processes. Accuracy testing. Support Production department on quality issues. Non-conformances; root cause analysis and raise corrective action and implementation. Manage and maintain Quality Circles. Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Business Management System Manage manufacturing master drawings to ensure standard control. Statistical Process Control of processes. Inspect and audit of all components at all stages of the manufacturing process. Attend plant meetings providing secure preventative actions to external and internal quality concerns. Assist GM-Plant with new product introduction. Contribute to continuous improvement activities and Lean Manufacturing. Supervision of quality team. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES National diploma in Operations Management. 5 -10 yrs. Quality experience in the automotive industry. Understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans and Flow charts. Understanding of IATF16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001. Knowledge of measurement. Understanding of engineering drawings. Understanding manufacturing processes. Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. Problem-solving. Analytical skills (analyse and interpret data). Decision-making. Report writing. Time management. Computer literate Microsoft office / Google suite ATTRIBUTES Take responsibility, initiative and work without supervision. Work independently and with others to accomplish goals and KPis. Attention to detail (Accuracy with paper work / documentation / figures) Team player. Experience of combustion engines.
