About the Role
As a Retail Sales Representative in Johannesburg, you will play a crucial role in managing the retail sales function for allocated customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to achieve sales outputs. With hardware retail experience, you will provide valuable insights to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage retail sales function for allocated customers
- Coordinate with Retail Sales Manager, agents, and internal sales staff to achieve sales targets
- Attend customer visits as per planned schedule to retail group head office
- Ensure quality complaints are dealt with speedily by providing relevant feedback assistance
- Follow up on quotes, special promos, price queries, and price change notifications
- Plan and monitor customer visits, providing timely feedback
- Carry out administration work as required
- Produce sales reports on time, including lost unit sales by customer and product
- Provide competitor information reporting
- Ensure successful promotions, shows, and expos are planned, executed, and followed up
- Provide relevant product training to new and existing customers
- Track stores and customers’ progress during the year, providing feedback to National Sales Manager
- Prioritize action on sales lost and demonstrate ability to rectify situations
- Conduct sales analysis with customers and planning
- Monitor backorders and resolve problems
- Resolve delivery queries with despatch
Requirements

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to meet sales targets and achieve business objectives
