About the Role
Drive industrial automation sales across multiple regions with a strong PLC-focused product portfolio. Our client operates in the industrial automation space, supplying CTI PLC systems and a broad range of catalogue-based automation components to customers across manufacturing, mining, utilities, FMCG, packaging, and system integrator environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell CTI PLC CPUs, modules, I/O cards, racks, power supplies, communication modules, and networking accessories
- Develop and manage a customer pipeline across manufacturing, mining, utilities, FMCG, packaging, and system integrators
- Identify and generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, online research, plant visits, and industry networking
- Manage inbound enquiries and provide accurate product recommendations from the catalogue
- Drive revenue growth through structured follow-up and opportunity management
Requirements
- Minimum 25 years experience in industrial automation or technical sales, with a focus on PLCs or automation components
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC systems and automation components
- Strong communication, customer engagement, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing multiple enquiries and accounts in a fast-paced, catalogue-driven sales environment
Qualifications
- 25 years experience in industrial automation sales or technical sales involving PLCs or automation hardware
- Bachelor’s degree is required
Salary & Benefits
R25 000 – R35 000 per annum
