Job Description
A well-established manufacturing company in the southern Gauteng region is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to take responsibility for day-to-day financial management, reporting, and operational support within the finance department. This position requires hands-on accounting experience in a production environment and the ability to work confidently across multiple business functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting function up to trial balance.
- Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Process supplier invoices, payments, and statements timeously.
- Support cost control, stock management, and procurement processes.
- Prepare for annual financial reviews and compliance reporting.
- Assist with payroll administration and related reconciliations.
- Contribute to improving internal financial systems and processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping, cost accounting, or financial administration within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Sage Evolution (or similar ERP/accounting package) and advanced Excel skills.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting / Finance / Bookkeeping.
- Experience with supplier management and import documentation advantageous.
