Ideally you should have some working / life experience but cannot be too established in a career path yet. It will take time to get you where you need to be as what they call a “SALES AUCTIONEER”. Therefore the opportunity cannot be viewed as a quick-fix or stand-in role while you look for what you really want. If you do not live relatively closely to CITY DEEP in Johannesburg South, and do not have your own vehicle, you will not be able to meet the unique working hours requirement i.e., 5.00am to 1.30pm, hence do not apply. Physical fit and prepared to be on your feet a fair amount of time Preferably a non-smoker Minimum education is Matric / Grade 12 Accurate, numerate, methodical and attention to detail The ability to deal with and communicate effectively with people Disposition and potential to handle pressure and deal with stressful situations in time Potential to work independently Reliable and committed The following profile will give you an understanding of the purpose and duties of experienced Sales Auctioneer – Purpose: To attend to all aspects / processes relating to this specialist type of operation i.e., grading flowers into the various quality categories, auctioning of flowers as well as various administrative functions in order to ensure that the selling process take place in the most efficient and effective manner and in accordance with determined quality standards.
