Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Employee has a responsibility to report any and all acts of non-professional behaviour to the facility manager and local HR officer
- Ensure the 5S methodology is driven and maintained throughout his/her areas of responsibility, and that suitable 5S champions are appointed within such areas
- Oversees the data capturing responsibilities within his/her department, with a view to ensure that all data capturing errors are addressed as and when they occur
- Ensure that data capturing accuracy is at 100% prior or submission to clients and management, in as far as business reports are concerned
- Ensure that all documented records under his/her functions are filed for ease of retention
- Records of all source documents for all inbound and outbound stock, expired stock and adjustments must be retained and stored so as to provide as much as required withing 24hours of request
- Address root cause analysis and implement corrective action so as to resolve the complaint
- Ensure client is communicated with by way of email, in relevance to acknowledgement of complaint within 24hours and closure of complaint within 72 hours
- Ensure that clients are onboarded on Cargo Wise 1 Warehouse Management System
- Ensure that all physical stock movements are accounted for within the client related system where relevant, but at all times with the BIL WMS
- Ensure that all short dated stock is reported weekly to relevant clients, by way of email
- Address any extension periods and action as much as where relevant with clients
- Ensure that any anomalies are reported to the client, as well as Superintendent by way of email and damage report
- Isolate all damages received in quarantine area
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics industry
- Sound knowledge of warehousing operations and WMS
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Experience within a cargo handling environment
- Exposure to administration procedures
- Knowledge of computers and scanning and client relations
- Must be willing to work night shifts
