About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of their manufacturing plant in Moorreesburg, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, a proven track record of leading teams to meet production goals, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, quality control, maintenance, and safety protocols
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall plant performance
- Lead a team of production supervisors and operators, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and internal policies
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, engineering, and finance, to optimize production processes and achieve company goals
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain a high level of employee engagement and morale through effective communication, recognition, and conflict resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant management role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving production targets
