Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full finance function, including accounting, payroll, procurement and administrative operations
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles (monthly and annual)
- Provide commercial insights to support operational and strategic business decisions
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships and treasury activities
- Take ownership of credit control, receivables and financial risk management
- Drive cost accounting, margin analysis and performance reporting across the business
- Prepare financial models, business cases and investment evaluations
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax and statutory requirements
- Manage external relationships including auditors, banks and regulatory bodies
- Oversee financial systems and ERP integrity, including improvements and implementations
- Identify and implement process improvements across finance and support functions
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Support procurement governance, supplier management and cost optimisation initiatives
- Contribute to transformation and compliance objectives in line with South African legislation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)
- Must have managed a team of staff
- Must be a CIMA or a CA(SA)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or management accounting role
- Prior exposure to a manufacturing or production environment is highly advantageous
- Strong Excel and financial systems/ERP experience
- Solid understanding of cost accounting, financial analysis and reporting
