Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full finance function, including accounting, payroll, procurement and administrative operations
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting cycles (monthly and annual)
• Provide commercial insights to support operational and strategic business decisions
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and treasury activities
• Take ownership of credit control, receivables and financial risk management
• Drive cost accounting, margin analysis and performance reporting across the business
• Prepare financial models, business cases and investment evaluations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax and statutory requirements
• Manage external relationships including auditors, banks and regulatory bodies
• Oversee financial systems and ERP integrity, including improvements and implementations
• Identify and implement process improvements across finance and support functions
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Support procurement governance, supplier management and cost optimisation initiatives
• Contribute to transformation and compliance objectives in line with South African legislation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)
• Must have managed a team of staff 
• Must be a CIMA or a CA(SA) 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or management accounting role
• Prior exposure to a manufacturing or production environment is highly advantageous
• Strong Excel and financial systems/ERP experience
• Solid understanding of cost accounting, financial analysis and reporting
