Job Title: Maintenance Planner – Mining – Northern Cape

Location: Northern Cape, South Africa

Hire Resolve`s Client are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our mining operation in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance and availability of equipment and machinery in the mining operation.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and machinery in the mining operation
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Monitor and track maintenance performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Forecast and plan for maintenance requirements, including labor, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize maintenance processes and improve equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Valid Trade Certificate
  • Certificate in Maintenance Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance planning experience in a mining environment
  • Experience with maintenance planning software and computerized maintenance management systems
  • Strong knowledge of mining equipment and machinery
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining industry

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Trade Test Certificate (Diesel Mech/Fitter/Boilermaking/HEME)
  • 3 -5 years experience on planned maintenance systems in a supervisory level
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling certificate
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
