The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of managing project costs, ensuring compliance with established budgetary processes, and contributing to the overall financial management of projects in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project budgets and forecasts.
• Customer Service
• Contractor Management
• Working Cost Management
• SHERQ
• Perform cost variance analysis and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain work breakdown structures.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls and processes.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for management review.
• Assist in financial audits and compliance checks.
• Evaluate project expenditures and develop cost-saving strategies.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Registered Professional QS (Recommended)
• Certificate in Project Management (Recommended)
• Certificate in Cost Management (Recommended)
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in project cost control within the mining industry (Required)
• Proficiency in project management and accounting software (e.g., MS Excel, SAP)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Understanding of mining operations and procedures is advantageous
