About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Sales Administrator to join our team on a temporary 6-month assignment. As an Internal Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the sales team, processing customer quotations and orders, and liaising with suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer quotations, pro forma invoices, and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Capture and manage purchase orders on the system.
- Proactively follow up on quotations to convert into sales.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding stock, pricing, and lead times.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to verify stock availability and order readiness.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any delays.
- Assist walk-in customers in the tool shop with product selection, queries, and order processing.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly recorded and updated on the system.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team to ensure smooth order processing.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years proven internal sales experience.
- Tools and hardware experience beneficial but NOT essential.
- Self-motivated, results driven must be able to work independently and in a small team.
- Customer-focused with the ability to effectively prioritise sales activities.
- Resolve customer queries quickly and effectively.
- Strong Interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and deal with upset customers in a professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and articulate when engaging with customers telephonically.
