About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead our sourcing function in Kempton Park, responsible for ensuring effective, efficient, and sustainable management of our supply chain operations in Southern Africa. The successful candidate will provide robust service delivery to our Divisions and Sales Area, aligning with global and regional sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of both indirect and direct components and services
- Ensure alignment with global and regional sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with all Regional functions and divisional stakeholders to drive sourcing projects and business needs
- Develop and implement ESG strategies in sourcing, ensuring supplier compliance with sustainability standards and local legislation
- Lead supplier development and risk management processes, including regular audits and compliance checks
- Drive transformation initiatives, including Preferential Procurement and Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD), to maximize BBBEE scorecard results and promote local supplier development
- Ensure continuous improvement in sourcing is sustained to use the best available suppliers in the region and build multiple sources in alignment with Responsible Sourcing guidelines
Requirements
- Engineering / Mining Industry experience
- Completed relevant National Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
- Postgraduate Qualification (advantageous)
- Solid experience (7-10 years) with management experience in global sourcing, supplier selection and supplier approval, as well as supply chain management at highest level (Global OEM exposure advantageous)
Qualifications
- CIPS / SAPICS accreditation (advantageous)
