About the Role
Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career in accounting? Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing assurance firm in Knysna, is seeking SAIPA Trainee Accountants for their 2026 intake. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants (SA) and Registered Auditors, where you will gain hands-on experience, comprehensive training, and exposure to a wide range of accounting and auditing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance (debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals).
- Prepare and review VAT and PAYE calculations and submissions.
- Handle invoicing, debtors collection, and IRP5 reconciliations.
- Maintain SARS accounts and assist with tax registrations and clearances.
- Process UIF, SDL, EMP201 submissions, and WCA returns.
- Liaise with clients and provide accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
- Completed Accounting or related qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) from an accredited institution.
- Ambitious, self-motivated individuals who thrive in a team environment but can also work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- A driver’s license and own transportation are Living distance from Knysna required.
Qualifications
- BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCom Management Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent.
