About the Role
Our engineering client is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team in Krugersdorp. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in an HR Support role, dealing with HR Relations and Payroll on SAGE 300. This position requires a strong understanding of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the HR Manager with full Payroll on SAGE 300 (wages and Perms) for 300-400 staff
- Recruitment and Selection: prepare job descriptions, post ads, and manage the hiring process
- Conduct initial screening interviews and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Ensure compliance with employment equity and other relevant legislation
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Employee Relations: support the HR Manager in handling employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions
- Training and Development: assist with Performance Management
- HR Administration: maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Prepare HR reports and metrics as required
- Compliance and Legal: provide general HR support and advice to employees and management
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within the engineering or technical sector
- Solid experience with SAGE 300 for staff up to 300-400 (wages and perms)
- Experience with South African labor laws and HR best practices
