Kuruman: Head of Maintenance posted by Craven Cottage CC

Duties:

Leading all electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure maintenance across camp and operational facilities
Preventative maintenance planning in extreme environmental conditions
Managing generators, solar systems, water systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment
Ensuring safety compliance and electrical standards are non-negotiable
Building and mentoring a high-performing technical team
Protecting luxury assets in one of Africa’s most remote wilderness environments

Requirements:
 
Qualified Electrician (Trade Test certified)
At least 5+ years’ experience in a large lodge / reserve environment
Strong experience in hospitality, remote sites, or large-scale facilities
Generator and solar expertise (advantageous)
Borehole abstraction & monitoring – sustainable extraction aligned with environmental regulations
Water treatment systems – filtration, chlorination, reverse osmosis where required
Storage infrastructure – tanks, pressure systems, backup reserves
Hands-on leadership style
