About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Maintenance to join our team at Craven Cottage CC in Kuruman. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading all electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure maintenance across camp and operational facilities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading all electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure maintenance across camp and operational facilities
• Preventative maintenance planning in extreme environmental conditions
• Managing generators, solar systems, water systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment
• Ensuring safety compliance and electrical standards are non-negotiable
• Building and mentoring a high-performing technical team
• Protecting luxury assets in one of Africa’s most remote wilderness environments

Requirements

Qualified Electrician (Trade Test certified)

At least 5+ years’ experience in a large lodge / reserve environment

Strong experience in hospitality, remote sites, or large-scale facilities

Generator and solar expertise (advantageous)

Borehole abstraction & monitoring – sustainable extraction aligned with environmental regulations

Water treatment systems – filtration, chlorination, reverse osmosis where required

Storage infrastructure – tanks, pressure systems, backup reserves
