Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Scientist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, conducting research, and developing new products to meet market demands. This role requires a strong scientific background, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

Responsibilities:

Conduct research and development activities to create new products and improve existing ones, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. Design and execute experiments, analyse data, and interpret results to guide product development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to bring new products from concept to market. Stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements to drive innovation. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of research activities, including lab notebooks, technical reports, and regulatory submissions. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety guidelines. Provide technical support and expertise to other departments and stakeholders. Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources. Present research findings and product proposals to senior management and other stakeholders. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in experimental work and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in R&D within the FMCG industry. Strong knowledge of product development processes, including formulation, testing, and validation. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the FMCG industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant scientific software.
