Receptionist & Manager Assistant | Luxury Lodge & Guest House | KwaZulu-Natal Salary: From R8,000 (Negotiable DOE) | Live-In Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Receptionist & Manager Assistant for a luxury lodge and guest house located in KwaZulu-Natal. This intimate and high-end property prides itself on providing personalised guest experiences, with a strong emphasis on exceptional service and meaningful interaction between staff and guests. This position is ideal for a young, ambitious individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will primarily work in reception but will also support the General Manager and assist across various departments when needed. A highly presentable and well-spoken individual with a genuine passion for hospitality will thrive in this dynamic and guest-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage front-of-house duties including guest check-in/out and reservations Provide warm, professional guest interaction, particularly during dining services Assist the Manager with operational tasks and departmental relief as required Oversee or support various departments including kitchen, housekeeping, and stock control Handle staff coordination and assist in team supervision Manage bookings and reservations (experience with SEMPER is an advantage) Maintain administrative records and assist with stock taking and procurement Requirements: Prior experience in a luxury lodge or guest house setting Knowledge in general management, guest relations, and front desk operations Familiarity with lodge systems and stock control 100% fluency in English (verbal and written), with excellent communication skills Must hold a valid driver’s licence; own transport preferred due to limited public transport in the area Presentable, well-spoken, and confident in engaging with international guests Ability to work as part of a small team and willingness to assist across all departments Positive attitude, sense of humour, and adaptable nature Must be available to start immediately Package: Live-in position with en-suite accommodation All meals and laundry provided Salary starting from R8,000, negotiable depending on experience This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the luxury hospitality sector, within a hands-on and close-knit team environment.
