About the Role
A Production Manager is urgently needed at a high-volume FMCG manufacturing facility in Northern KZN to oversee production processes, efficiencies, and output quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full production operations and daily output targets
- Ensure production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards
- Optimize production processes and reduce waste
- Manage production teams and supervisors
- Monitor KPIs: output, downtime, wastage, efficiency
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food standards
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage production planning and scheduling
- Control labour utilization and productivity
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Production / Engineering / Operations
- 10 years FMCG manufacturing experience
- Strong leadership and production management experience
- Understanding of production systems and efficiencies
- Knowledge of quality standards and compliance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Stable employment history essential
