Job Description
- Sales Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
- Monitor sales team performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Set pricing strategies and promotional plans for used inventory.
- Analyze sales metrics, customer trends, and market data.
- Inventory Management
- Source and procure quality pre-owned vehicles through trade-ins, auctions, or wholesale.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure diversity in vehicle makes, models, and price points.
- Oversee vehicle reconditioning and readiness for display/sale.
- Track aging inventory and implement strategies to move older stock.
- Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and address complaints effectively.
- Train the sales team in customer service and follow-up best practices.
- Oversee customer retention initiatives such as loyalty programs or referral incentives.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, motivate, and manage the pre-owned sales team.
- Set individual and team goals and provide coaching and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all used vehicle sales transactions meet regulatory and company policy requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, financing, trade-ins, and inventory.
- Oversee vehicle appraisals and trade-in evaluations.
- Marketing & Promotions
- Coordinate with marketing to promote pre-owned vehicle inventory through online platforms, social media, and traditional advertising.
- Plan and execute sales events or seasonal promotions.
- Ensure high-quality vehicle listings (photos, descriptions, prices) on dealership and third-party websites
