Lichtenburg: Transformation & Employee Relations Manager

Our client has an opportunity for a strategic manager to lead their labour relations and transformation agenda. In this key role, you will ensure legal compliance, promote fair labour practices, and oversee the implementation of our B-BBEE and Employment Equity (EE) frameworksstrengthening a positive and progressive organisational culture. Key Responsibilities Labour Relations Leadership Policy development: Design and implement labour relations policies aligned with South African legislation and organisational values. Dispute resolution: Provide strategic guidance in investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, conciliations, arbitrations, and labour court matters, acting as a trusted advisor. Stakeholder engagement: Build strong, constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives to support harmonious industrial relations. Representation: Represent the organisation at CCMA and bargaining council proceedings, protecting company interests while promoting fair outcomes. Legislative compliance: Monitor labour law developments, advise on risks, and ensure ongoing organisational compliance. Transformation & B-BBEE Strategic direction: Develop and implement a transformation strategy aligned with B-BBEE Codes and inclusive organisational goals. B-BBEE verification: Lead internal data gathering and work with verification agencies to ensure accurate, timely audits and ongoing scorecard improvement. Employment Equity: Oversee annual EE reporting, ensure compliance, and analyse progress for leadership. Inclusivity initiatives: Chair the EE Committee and drive initiatives across B-BBEE pillars including employment equity, procurement, and skills development. Advisory & Partnership Trusted subject matter expert: Advise leadership on labour legislation, transformation, and compliance. Data-driven insights: Analyse labour relations and EE data to identify trends and support strategic decision-making. Communication and training: Deliver clear internal communication and engaging training on transformation and employee relations best practice. Minimum Requirements LLB (or equivalent) and admission as an attorney/advocate of the High Court of South Africa. Minimum five years senior/managerial experience in labour relations and transformation. In-depth knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EE Act, Skills Development Act, and B-BBEE Act/Codes. Proven experience representing organisations at CCMA, labour court and/or bargaining councils. Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office). Fluency in Afrikaans and English; Setswana is a strong advantage. Key Strengths Exceptional negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
