About the Role
We are seeking experienced and qualified guides to join our reputable Guide Training School in Limpopo as Head and Assistant Instructors. As a key member of our team, you will provide academic leadership and operational oversight within a professional field guide training camp, ensuring the consistent delivery of accredited programmes aligned with relevant South African regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership and operational oversight within a professional field guide training camp
- Ensure consistent delivery of accredited programmes aligned with relevant South African regulatory standards
- Combine field-based instruction, student assessment, mentorship of junior instructors, and overall camp coordination to maintain high training standards, safety, and an engaging learning environment
- Assist with practical field facilitation, academic delivery, and assessments as a Head Instructor
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the training camp
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years professional guiding experience within Southern Africa
- Valid Professional Field and Trails Guide qualification and registration (FGASA-aligned)
- Proven experience delivering training and assessments in a field-based environment
- Experience working within high-end safari or conservation operations
- One or more of the following (or very close to attaining): NQF Level 4 Nature Guide, FGASA Professional Field and Trails Guide, VPDA qualification, Current Advanced Rifle Handling certificate
Qualifications
- Valid Professional Field and Trails Guide qualification and registration (FGASA-aligned) for Head Instructors
- Valid FGASA-aligned Field Guide qualification (Trails Guide advantageous) for Assistant Instructors
