About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Mahikeng, responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, trailers, and trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of diesel engines, trailers, and trucks
- Electrical repairs
- Tyre replacement, tyre inflation, and tyre measurement
- Troubleshooting and fault reporting
- Working under pressure in high-volume DC operations
Requirements
- Proficient in English
- Skilled in handling technological equipment such as mobile phones, printers, tablets, and touchscreen devices
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a mechanic
- Relevant training certificates related to the mechanic function
- Valid CODE 14 drivers license with a valid PDP
- Availability to work night shifts and weekends
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications in mechanical engineering or a related field (if applicable)
