Key Responsibilities

• Perform fibre splicing, termination, and testing using OTDRs, power meters, and related tools.
• Connect FTTH and FTTB clients to the GPON network.
• Diagnose and repair faults to ensure optimal fibre network performance.
• Use network designs, schematics, and technical drawings to complete accurate installations.
• Maintain detailed records of splicing work, test results, and submit as-built documents.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in fibre optic splicing, installation, and testing.
• Technical certifications (FOA and CFOT) preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Proficient with OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers.
• Strong knowledge of fibre standards, specs, and best practices.
• Experience with underground and aerial installation techniques.
• Able to work at heights, outdoors, in confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment.
