About the Role
A well-established wholesale clothing manufacturer and retailer is looking for an experienced E-Commerce Operations Coordinator to join their team, based in Midrand, Johannesburg. This is a full-time role for an E-Commerce Operations Coordinator, located on-site in Midrand. The E-Commerce Operations Coordinator will be responsible for assisting and working alongside the E-Commerce Operations Manager in the daily operations of the e-commerce platform and the attendant digital architecture, as well as assisting where and when required to ensure smooth order processing and handling of customer service inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Digital Sales Strategy
- Create and implement the sales strategies using data to ensure products are positioned to sell, ads are effective, and the shopping experience is smooth.
- Requires collaborating with marketing & the line manager to keep operations aligned.
- Analyze performance
- Monitor performance to ascertain whether business objectives for the online retail store are being achieved.
- Develop & Manage Online Experience
- Elements: Checkout process; interaction features; look features; navigation features; info features; product features; plug-ins; customer service features.
- Manage Omni-Channel Experience
- Online Perspective: The website layout, content and functionality must guide the customer to making purchases. This can be termed ‘digital visual merchandising.’
- Manage Omni-Channel Experience: Company App: Daily Management
- Ensure that the company app (Tapcart) is updated and functioning.
- Stock Management Process
- Develop site and page layouts
- Develop the user interface for the Online Store, ensuring that the required back-end integration is functional.
- Reverse product option
- When a product that was previously retailing through the online store is no longer available for sale, due to a stock allocation decision made by management, where this consequently necessitates updating the product offering on the web-store.
- Pick, Pack & Dispatch Online Stock
- QC stock before dispatch.
- Manage Returns
- A customer service process whereby a product already purchased is either refunded or exchanged.
- Receive Stock into Retail DC
- QC of received stock, receipting it into the online store’s inventory using Posworx, and uploading it onto the ecommerce platform (Shopify).
- Conduct Cycle Count
- Cycle counting is a counting solution that allows businesses to count a number of items in a number of areas within the warehouse without having to count the entire inventory, stopping production.
- Conduct Stock Take
- Stock taking is the counting of on-hand inventory. This means identifying every item on hand, counting it and summarizing these quantities by item. There may also be a verification step, where the count results are compared to the inventory unit counts in a company’s computer system.
- Report on Digital Ads
- Report on the results of digital ads and any testing that may also be done, along with an updating of the Lessons Learned Register.
- Create Digital Advertisements
- A digital advertisement is created with a call to action to the target audience.
- (This includes the newletters and database curating, and all direct marketing for online)
- Expedite Order
- Expedite an order for which the web-shop has received payment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and associated tools and infrastructure: Shopify; BobGo; Pargo: Google Ads; Facebook Ads; Google Analytics.
- Proficient in customer service and communication skills.
- Experienced and willing to perform administrative assistance tasks.
- Ability to work onsite in Midrand.
- Must have a driver’s license and own transport.
- Fluent in English.
- Applicants who do not have Shopify, Woo Commerce, Megento or related ecommerce platform experience will not be considered.
Salary & Benefits
R 20 000 – R 25 000 CTC pm
