About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Technician with a strong background in electronics engineering to join our clients Control Equipment division. This role is pivotal in bridging Production and Engineering, requiring a hands-on, diagnosis-focused technician who is equally comfortable on the production floor and in the engineering lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical testing systems to improve reliability and repeatability
- Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all test equipment
- Manage the CE Repair Centre: oversee repairs, subcontractors, and quality improvements
- Troubleshoot electronics to component level using schematics and lab equipment
- Maintain fault databases and compile quality reports for management
- Coach and mentor Repair Centre staff
- Provide on-site field support (local and international) when required
- Interface with Production, Engineering, and customers to resolve technical queries
Requirements
- Component-level fault finding
- Experience with test jigs and TPM
- Proficiency in C programming (for test platforms and data logging)
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
- Experience in electronics assembly testing procedures
Qualifications
- BTech in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent)
